Dirty South Slang
- Dirty South -The deep south region of the USA, meaning the states of Texas, Alabama, Mississipi, Louisianna, Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida. The word dirty refers to corruption in the legal system, the oppression, the dirty secrets people keep about the dirty things they do to make a living like lying, thugging and stealing. "Now what you niggas know about the dirty South" -- Scarface featuring Devin, Tela (Southside: Houston, Texas)
- Crunk - To get crazy drunk. Originally, this term comes from the words crazy and funk. As opposed to popular opinion, crunk has had no relation to being coked up and drunk until recently. Because if its similarity of terminal sound with the word drunk many rappers have used it in reference with being crazy and under the influence. This and the intrinsical association with hard partying has brought about its association with alcohol.
- Chuck Deuce - To "chunk deuce" is a way to say good bye. The way you would chunk deuce is to put two fingers to the side when your leaving.
- Swangers are rims usually called 30's or 84 spokes. "When we come through in Caddies on Swangaz and Vogues " -- Paul Wall & Chamillionaire (Game Over)

- Tippin - To ride laid back in your pimped-out car or truck, and to swerve from left to to right, or visa versa. Tippin' on fo-fo's , wrapped in fo Vogues -- Mike Jones (Still Tippin [2004])
- Screwed and chopped - Slowed down versions of rap songs, made popular by DJ Screw , DJ from Texas. Apparently influenced by the consumption of " sizzurp ", cough syrup mixed with alcohol, which could understandably slow down one's perception of things. DJ Screw gets his name from when he was younger, he used to use a screw on the records to make different sounds, but he is known for his slowing down of music. That is the "screwed" part, and the chopped part is the specific way that he mixed his music. RIP Screw.
